Some things just shouldn’t be about making money, especially arranging a funeral for your loved one.

That’s what makes Sovereign Funerals unique – all profits (after expenses) from every funeral go straight to our charitable foundation Interseed to support life-changing programs in our local community and across the globe.

One of the projects we are helping to fund is Card-Making Therapy for elderly residents at OzCare’s Day Respite Centre in Clontarf.Card Making

Being placed in aged care can impact on the mental health of elderly residents. They can physically no longer do the things they once enjoyed, like fishing, camping, sightseeing, gardening, travelling or volunteering in the community.

Many residents find card making gives them a sense of purpose, it taps into the creative side of their brain and can improve cognitive function, particularly in dementia patients.

Recently, we received this feedback from Dawn, who conducts Card Making Therapy at OzCare:

‘Thank you so much for continuing to support me at the OzCare Group. I really enjoy doing it, and the residents are getting so much pleasure from it too.’

Kind regards,
Dawn
